Painted Lady...

The details and depth of field in this photo is very good. I especially enjoy seeing the details in the wings and the antenna. In addition, the complementary colors on this are quite striking. The vibrant purple flower in the foreground with the light tan in the butterfly and background really makes this photo pop.

As for improvement, I would say that the framing/cropping could be a stronger. I feel that the wing is a little too close to the top of the frame. This adds unnecessary tension and there is a tenancy for the eye to leave the picture. Additionally, because the butterfly is cropped close to the top and right hand side, the left side feels empty and there is nothing in the background to hold that part of the composition.

Overall a great picture with lovely details, that would be even stronger if it had a better crop.
